Elie’s original idea was to have a well-built man, with naked upper body, standing in the foreground. To represent the love aspect, he’d asked for a woman to be standing behind the man with her hand around one side of his ribs. The background should represent the violence and the Haitian earthquake with collapsed buildings and ruins. While this was initially thought to be a little too specific for our liking, our research into the urban fiction genre showed that Elie’s idea actually worked well within that sector and so we set about giving him exactly what he’d asked for.
When Leito meets his beautiful new neighbor, Miriam, he is determined to make her his. To conquer Miriam’s heart, Leito, a young, ambitious Haitian with a complicated past, has to face Miriam’s possessive boyfriend as well as her protective mother. Miriam’s mother, Mona, deems Leito unworthy of her only child, based on Leito’s lifestyle and obviously limited financial means.
Meanwhile, during a random vehicle stop, Jean-Baptiste, a young cop and Leito’s best friend, makes an important arrest, which not only grants him a likely promotion in the Haitian Police Department, but places him at the top of a gang’s most-wanted list. In the overcrowded city of Port-au-Prince, the threat is very real, especially since corrupt cops have ties with gang members. Leito finds himself caught up in this escalating situation, though meanwhile, his courtship of Miriam weighs increasingly on his mind. Known as a “player” in his relationships with the ladies, Leito has, to his own surprise, been hooked by this new beauty in town. However, an unexpected event that will set the fate of his relationship with Miriam is awaiting him.
Buy This Book »As I started shopping around for my book cover, I discovered authorpackages.com among many other websites that provide book cover design services. I carefully read the package each website offered and the price before I emailed them, seven websites in total. Following their responses, I selected authorpackages.com among the other options based on two things: the way Mark communicated with me and the fact that he said he wouldn’t charge me if I need to change something on the back cover.
Mark impressed me with his level of professionalism. He didn’t just design the cover, he made sure the cover looked professional. Mark is very patient and always replies on time. In a short period, Mark and I have somehow become friends. Mark is more interested about providing his clients a great cover design than making money. Once I’ve presented the physical copy (the proof copy) to some friends and colleagues, they all loved it. I recall one of them said, “The cover is sexy, I love it.” Mark is very skilled and has an outstanding knowledge of the book industry when it comes for cover design.
Authorpackages have an affordable price for the amazing service they are offering. Just give them a try and you will be surprised.
